In addition to my freelance work, I have been either employed or contracting part-time at Washington DC’s destination marketing organization (washington.org) since January of 2020. I have designed bus, tram, and taxi cab wraps, tradeshow booths, publications, ads, powerpoint presentations, maps, web graphics and pages, html emails, event themes, and done other things like photo editing as part of an in-house team.
1 Vehicle half-wraps, and tram and bus wraps currently running in Sydney through 2025, in partnership with East Coast USA. The campaign also includes digital billboards designed by other members of our DDC in-house team.
2 Taxi Cab Wraps installed in Spring of 2024, London. 4 different cab designs.
3 2024–2021 Annual Reports for the American Experience Foundation, DDC’s 501(c)3 that provides scholarships and internships for low-income DC students and travel experiences for middle schoolers across the country. One spread of the 2023 Report is shown at left, but the entire 2021 report can be viewed here.
3 Email templates — in 2021 I learned online software for email marketing (we use Act-on). I updated several of our email templates and regularly build issues of our monthly and bi-monthly newsletters.
4 DC Theatre infographics and webpage — in 2021 I began learning our CMS (Drupal) to update and build additional DDC webpages. I wireframed (and built, together with our content manager) an in-depth piece about DC theater and designed two infographics for the page. That page can be viewed here. I have since updated and created other pages for our massive website.
5 “DC is the Capital of More Than You Think” — Large ad panels installed at Dulles International Airport in 2022. DDC collaborated with the agency January 3 to create a recovery campaign for the city, and our in-house team has run with the executions.
I began working with Singing Water Vineyards in 2023, after moving back to Texas.
Over 2024 and 2025 I’ve helped them update their wine labels and streamline their printing process. Their labels were originally designed before the pandemic by CF Napa, and were costing Singing Water over $1.50 per label. While we did away with several expensive touches like a logo mark embossing, multiple foil colors and varying label sizes, we expanded the color palette and created a system for reds vs. whites that uses a single die for both. Whites and rosé always feature a silver foil with a CMYK-printed color behind. Reds always have a black CMYK background with a different color foil. The labels now cost $.50–.75 (depending on the quantity ordered), but have retained their thoughful, high-end look.
Further down is my first project for them done in 2023 — some fun event branding for their first "Murder at the Mansion" whodunit, including mapping out the entire layout of the mansion near the SWV property, without blueprints, after walking it one afternoon.
Hearts with Hope Foundation (HWHF) outside of Houston, TX is a licensed 24-hour non-profit dedicated to serving at-risk children and adolescents in the foster care system. HWHF’s General Residential Operation (GRO) and Transitional Living Program serves at-risk girls ages 7-23.
As they are raising money to build The Learning Center on their property this year and next (2025–2026) and expand their services to the community, I have written campaign messaging, designed the campaign website and an email, produced a powerpoint deck, a printed 6×10 trifold brochure, and some event banners and backdrops. I did not design their logo, but have solidified a new color palette and updated look and feel both for the campaign and for the organization.
Shown at left is the trifold brochure. Below that is an email, large selfie backdrop for events, and a powerpoint slide from their deck I did for them.
Books are my absolute favorite, and I’m having a blast working on this cover and inside layout. Way Beyond: A Birth Mother’s Journey Through Teenage Pregnancy, Adoption, and Faith comes out in December of 2025. Check back soon for a link to purchase through Amazon.

As Keri McDonald Consulting, LLC has grown, I have expanded Keri’s brand in 2023–2025 with additional icons for new services, canva proposal templates, graphics and promos for her website and social media, and branded powerpoint decks.
(Formerly Cedarbrook Camp in Pennsylvania) Every year since 2016 I have created annual theme imagery for a two-week long summer camp tucked away in the hills of Amish country in Pennsylvania. The annual “logo” is used for t-shirts, social media, and other swag. From time to time I also create flyers, brochures, and I have also acted as camp photographer.

4 Infographic of quick stats on Vantage Bank Texas; double-sided card printed as internal promo piece. Although I usually work under the Toolbox art director when doing client work for this San Antonio agency, for this project I interfaced directly with Vantage Bank account execs without additional art direction, as it had a quick turnaround. 2019.

7 hand-stamped cards produced from a drawing I made of the church in the French town where we lived. I stamped multiple editions of folding cards and gave them as Christmas gifts to friends and my kids’ teachers in 2017.
In late 2011, a series of 10 sunday-morning sermons at a Christian church involved real-time art creation onstage. More than the mere illustration of a concept, the live artistic process gave life and passion to ancient events that still affect us today, and became an integral part of the sermon itself.
In 2012 I worked with the church and the artist to document the creation process, the art pieces, and their correspondence to Biblical passages and teachings. An exhibition catalog of sorts, Covenant reveals a unique collaboration between a pastor, an artist, and an audience—and broadens our definition of worship.

1 (Top) Journey Church’s Annual Tea posters 2008 & 2009. For both posters, I single-handedly conceptualized a provided event theme, set up and shot the photos, and laid out the final designs. Having this kind of creative freedom is wonderful, and these are still two of my favorite pieces I’ve ever done.
2 (Bottom left) Calvary Chapel Christian School annual fundraiser poster: again, the theme was provided by the school—I branded the event and created the art for posters, tickets, and programs from scratch, working with the event coordinator to achieve the look they were going for.
3 (Bottom right) Spring Fling poster—also created from scratch, and I had previously designed the logo for the sponsoring organization, BirthNetwork of Idaho Falls.
I have designed four issues of The Insider for The Heritage Foundation, mostly working directly with the magazine editor, but also receiving creative direction from their in-house design department.

I lay out the cover and spreads in InDesign using provided copy. I create illustrations and composite images in Illustrator or Photoshop, as well as source stock photography. Examples of my illustrations are the covers of Spring 2016 and Winter 2017, plus several inside spreads—see spread of Uncle Sam’s check below featuring my handwriting.
